About The Snowman’s Guide

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! I’m Steven Arnott, author of The Snowman’s Guide to Personal Finance and this blog. My goal is to take important information about managing your money and arrange it in a way that’s easy to find, understand and apply. I hope this allows you to spend your money stress-free and enjoy your life today. All while ensuring you can continue your lifestyle in the future.

My fascination with personal finance began in 2012, and since then, I’ve focused on helping Canadians better manage their money.

Over the past decade, I’ve completed several licensing exams through the Canadian Securities Institute, become a CFA charterholder and published The Snowman’s Guide to Personal Finance.

Along the way, I’ve held several positions within the financial services industry where I’ve been able to support Canadian investors directly. I’ve also worked to develop a product that helps Canadians more easily save and invest toward their goals.

My partner Anna helps brainstorm topics and edit the content you’ll find throughout the site. We’re on a path to live the most fulfilling lives we can, and this blog helps us share what we learn along the way. We enjoy backpacking, travelling, playing board games and staying active (from rock climbing to boxing). We’re excited to share ideas with you and to learn from your experiences.

If you have questions, recommended topics to cover or feedback, we’d love to hear from you at steven@snowmansguide.com.
